People and businesses of Haslemere and surroundings: we need your help.

Plans for the redevelopment of surplus railway assets in the station area – preservation of the signal box, development of a memorial garden and creation of a modest museum of railway artefacts – represent a bold interpretation of the 'community rail' concept through providing a further stimulus for education and tourism.

Success of the project will depend on financial and practical support from the community. 

Financial support will facilitate development and maintenance of attractions. Practical support from volunteers will permit longer, more frequent opening hours, making the facilities more readily available to visitors.

The Signal Box Trust – formally the Haslemere Signal Box Educational Chartered Incorporated Organisation – is managed by a group of local business and professional people with interests in the community (and railways). On the station forecourt, the Information Hub is staffed by a small band of volunteers.
